For Memorial Day Axios created an interactive map of U.S. armed services deaths since 9/11. The map shows how many soldiers convey given their lives for their province since 9/11 inward every county inward the contiguous United States. The Memorial Day Map uses the domicile towns for each of the fallen soldiers.
The circle markers are scaled to demonstrate the full release of deaths inward each county. It is of import to banking concern complaint that these are full numbers. For example Los Angeles County is the biggest marking on the map. This is because the 167 deaths of soldiers is the largest release of whatsoever county. That doesn't hateful that LA County has suffered the highest release of deaths per population. The colors of the markers stand upward for the normalized release of deaths per 100,000 of the population. Bexar County inward Texas has the highest charge per unit of measurement of armed services deaths of all U.S. counties (with to a greater extent than than 1 1000000 people).
