Just Downtonw's LA Streetlights is an interactive map of street-lighting inwards Los Angeles. The map features black extruded edifice footprints lit upward yesteryear models of all the city's streetlights.
I don't intend that the map was created for whatsoever other run than it looks actually hitting as well as provides an interesting map of the urban amount at night. You tin see, however, how the map could locomote useful to urban amount planning departments, specially for reporting faults, scheduling repairs as well as maintaining the city's streetlights.
The map itself uses Mapbox GL's extrusion property both to present the city's buildings inwards 3d as well as for the streetlight models themselves. The information for the maps comes from Los Angeles GeoHub, the city's novel world website for location-based opened upward data.
