Since 16th August at that spot has been intense seismic action at Bárðarbunga inwards Iceland. The seismic action around the volcano, located nether the Vatnajökull glacier inwards Iceland, has led to fears that the volcano may erupt. Yesterday the constabulary unopen together with evacuated the expanse due north of Vatnajökull.
